The motivation

More data. Less understanding.

Organizations are investing heavily in data, assessments, and evidence-based HR. And rightly so. But there is a paradox that anyone who listens carefully has long known: the more we measure, the further we sometimes stand from what truly moves people. Raymond experienced this in many narrative conversations over the past decades. A different kind of data is needed; richer, more layered, more human.

Pim brought the technological perspective to it. What do large language models actually do, in their best form? They listen. They connect. They recognize patterns in what people say and how they say it. Not an oracle, but a patient conversational partner who never tires and never judges.

Together they saw the opening: the quality of a narrative conversation, that depth you feel when someone is truly heard, combined with the power of a virtual story coach.
